The gear oil pump is a power device that converts the mechanical energy of the engine into hydraulic energy. The gear oil pump has large flow rate and good reliability. The following faults are prone to occur during its use.
Wear of internal parts of the gear oil pump. Wear of the internal parts of the oil pump will cause internal leakage. Among them, the leakage area between the floating sleeve and the gear end face is large, which is the main part causing internal leakage. This part of the leakage accounts for about 50% to 70% of the total internal leakage. The volumetric efficiency of a gear pump with wear and internal leakage decreases, and the output power of the oil pump is much lower than the input power. All its losses are converted into heat energy, thus causing the oil pump to overheat. If the joint plane is pressed tightly, the floating bushing will move a little during operation and cause wear. As a result, the hydraulic system will work slowly or cannot be lifted. Such floating bushing must be replaced or repaired.
The wear of the gear oil pump housing is mainly the wear of the floating sleeve hole (the normal gap between the gear shaft and the sleeve is 0.09~0.175mm, and the maximum should not exceed 0.20mm). The gear works under the influence of pressure oil. The tip of the gear is close to the oil pump housing and wears the low-pressure chamber part of the pump body. Another kind of wear is the circumferential wear of the working surface in the casing. This kind of wear is mainly caused by the impurity of the added oil. Therefore, the cleanliness of the hydraulic system oil must be checked regularly to avoid the use of expired or no viscosity protective film of hydraulic machinery waste oil.
The gear oil pump skeleton oil seal is worn, and the rubber oil seal of the unloading plate ages and deteriorates, losing its elasticity and losing its sealing and isolation effect on the high-pressure oil chamber and the low-pressure oil chamber. This will cause the oil pressure in the high-pressure oil chamber to flow to the low-pressure oil chamber, which is called "internal leakage", which reduces the working pressure and flow rate of the oil pump. The normal working pressure of the CB-B2.5 gear pump is 100~110kg/cm², the normal oil delivery volume is 2.5L/min, and the standard unloading piece rubber oil seal is 57×43. The self-tightening oil seal is a PG25×42×10 skeleton oil seal. If it is damaged or fails over time, air will be sucked into the oil pump from the gap between the oil seal and the spindle journal or from the joint between the oil inlet adapter plate and the oil pump housing, and enter the oil tank through the oil return pipe, producing a large number of bubbles in the oil tank. This will cause the oil in the tank to decrease and the oil in the engine oil sump to increase. As a result, the hydraulic system will work slowly or cannot be improved. The skeleton oil seal must be replaced to eliminate this fault.
